"Speaking as One Voice for Crime Victims"

Our Mission ...…

To improve the treatment of all victims of crime by providing them with the assistance and services essential to their restoration.

The Division of Victim Services was created by the Wyoming state legislature in 1997 to ensure that Wyoming was doing all that it can and should do to help Wyoming crime victims and their families.

The Division is proud to be the voice for crime victims in Wyoming and is dedicated to helping crime victims by developing programs to help them navigate, understand, and participate in the criminal justice system.

It is our goal to assure victims that they are not left behind at the crime scene, but can be involved, if desired, in all parts of the criminal justice system.

If we can provide any assistance to you, please contact the Wyoming Division of Victim Services toll free at 888-996-8816 TTY.

July 2010

Dear Victim Service Partners;

The Wyoming Division of Victim Services will be developing an implementation plan for the Violence Against Women Act STOP funds Wyoming receives. The plan will be developed based on input from a broad base of stakeholders who have an interest in improving services to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence and stalking.

Once the plan is adopted, it will serve as a guide for Violence Against Women Act funding implementation for three years. Therefore, it will be important to get as much information about serving victims from as many sources as possible.

This year, the Division is using survey monkey as a tool to develop the plan. Through narrative input of the attached survey, we will draft a plan for Wyoming. Once the plan is completed, it will be made available for public comment. We are interested in having the survey completed by July 30, 2010.
