The Governor's Domestic Violence Elimination (DoVE) Council has been created because:
- Incidents of domestic violence continue to rise each year
- The impact of domestic violence on children, families, neighborhoods, communities and schools in our state is significant.
- Domestic violence affects individuals in this state psychologically, emotionally, economically, physically and spiritually.
