The National Children's Advocacy Center 3-Day Forensic
Interviewing of Children Training
This training is specifically designed
for child interviewers who have responsibility for initial
forensic interview of children.
It is appropriate for professionals from the fields of Child
Protective Services, law enforcement, and those affiliated
with a Child Advocacy Center (CAC) The NCAC has provided
child interviewing training since
1999 through the National Training Center
in Huntsville, Alabama.
In this course, the attendee will experience immersion in
the latest research-based information on interviewing
techniques along with the opportunity to develop and refine
interviewing skills. Additional topics to be covered are the
NCAC Forensic Interview Structure, forensic questioning,
developmental issues, interview strategies,
and interviewing tools. Our goal for this training is
to provide each attendee with the new knowledge and skills
to assist them in their daily job. In addition, we wish for
attendees to depart with new knowledge of colleagues who can
be sources of ongoing support in the important work that is
done with children and families in their respective
communities. Participants are strongly
encouraged to
attend as a multidisciplinary team.
The training will
be held in Lander, WY at Best Western the Inn at Lander, May
22-24,
2012. There is a hotel room block at the Best Western. Ask
for the Division of Victim Services room block to receive

offered through Webinar. No need to travel anymore.... |
Just sit back and relax at your desk and access the online
training. This training will be offered twice a month
by the Crime Victim Compensation Analysts, Sandra Jacquez
and Jean Courts.
Training will be offered the second Wednesday at 10:00 AM and
the second Thursday at 2:30 PM of every month
Please contact the Compensation
Analysts to attend the training. Space is limited to
25 people per session.
